Type of Competition

  • Match may be either best of 3 or knock-out and will be selected by the organizer to best suit the needs of the event.

  • Respect the judgment of the game referee(s).
  • Any questions or disputes will be discussed only with the Team Captain. Disputes will not be entertained after the game has been completed.
  • Do not taunt or bait opponents and refrain from using foul or abusive language.
  • Players violating these rules will be called “OUT” by the referee or may result in team forfeiture.
  • Participants should be aware that there is a risk of injury in participating in intramural sports due to the inherent nature of the activity. Individuals participating in intramurals should do this at their own risk.
  • Once the teams have lined up the referee will make the following commands:
    1. “Team are you ready” – Teams to confirm
    2. “Pick up the rope” – Teams pick up the rope
    3. “Tight the rope” – Teams lean back slightly but do not pull to take up the slack in the rope
    4. “Pull” – Referee may use a whistle to issue this command.
  • The referee will signal when one team has won (pull white marking over center line).
  • The competition serves to bring together the Technopark women community as part of the Women’s Day celebrations. While we perfectly empathize with the competitive spirit, we expect participants to accept the judge’s decision is final and taken in good faith.
  • Natana reserves the right to modify/interpret the rules of the competition as appropriate.
  • A team will be disqualified for violation of above rules OR for any misbehavior towards the audience/judging committee/organizing committee.
